Many reviews of the Wild Ax Triton rate it as a better alternative to the class leading VW transporter conversions out there. A fantastic chassis and cab means that the camper is a lovely drive with a really good automatic gearbox to take make those journeys all the more pleasurable. The Triton, based on a Trend-spec Transit Custom long-wheelbase, has cab air-conditioning, cruise control, front fog lights, a leather steering wheel with audio controls, a reversing camera, automatic lights and wipers and a heated windscreen (something only Ford can offer).
The pop roof is front hinged and is super simple to use. Simply open the tailgate, loosen the straps, give it a shove and up it goes. Do the same with the bed base and you have fantastic head room. Inside the living room there is loads of space, a hob to cook on and a decent sized fridge ( handy for kids on the school run if you use it as a daily driver too). the sofas pull out to form the bed and you have the same above in the pop roof.
The really unique feature of the Triton is the rear bathroom, a shower and toilet all on board for your wild camping adventures. 50l is not a huge water tank to put through the boiler but is enough to freshen you all up before heading out for the evening after a day at the beach.
